Chinese Prefold Diapers
Our 100% cotton diapers are much nicer than most of our moms used.  They are rectangular in shape, and have a pannel down the middle with up to 8 layers of absorbant cotton.  They are soft and quilty and the more they are washed, the softer and more absorbant they become.

We ask that you do not use Desitin or A&D for Diaper rash.  Please check out this website for an approved list of diaper rash creams, and why rashes happen.

Waterproof Covers
Our waterproof covers are handmade with love, by Work At Home Moms.  They close with either hook-and-loop aplix or snaps which make them highly adjustable to fit any baby.  Our covers are not designed to be laundered at the same high intensity with which we wash our diapers, and will need to be laundered by the customer.  In addition, it is normal for breast or formula-fed babies to have messy blow-outs through the prefold and onto the cover, but not onto their clothes.  There is no way BACD can keep up with your frequent need to have your covers cleaned.  If baby frequently has messy diapers that leak up onto their clothes, this is a good sign that they are ready to move up in size.

Snappi
We find that diaper pins are hard to use, so we provide our customer with Snappi(R) clips.  We have found that they are very easy and fast to use, and are one of the reasons why cloth diapering is JUST AS easy and convenient as disposables!

Cloth Wipes
Our cloth wipes are 2-sided. One side is terry cloth for gentle scrubbing and the flip side is flannel for soft wiping. They are rectangular shaped so they fit nicely in a traditional wipes container. We reccommend pouring warm water over them for the day.

Why would I want to use cloth wipes?

As moms, our first instinct is to shove a dirty wipe inside the diaper, wrap it up and toss the whole thing in the pail. When you start cloth diapering, that instinct doesn't change! I can't tell you how many times I've had to fish "wipe lint" out of my cloth diapers after accidentally washing a disposable wipe! When you use cloth wipes, you put the wipe and the cloth diaper together in the pail and, when you do laundry, you have clean wipes AND clean diapers.

When your baby is born, hospitals recommend that you use plain water to wipe your baby's skin because disposable baby wipes can be harsh on tender new skin. If your baby has a rash, disposable baby wipes can actually make the skin more irritated!

Wool Soakers
Our wool soakers or covers, are hand-croched with love and do not feel scratchy. Sheep naturally secrete lanalin from their skin, which makes their wool waterproof. We lanalize our soakers, making them waterproof and very soft against baby's skin. If you use the nighttime system, you will turn in your soakers every 3 weeks to be washed and lanalized. Wool is excellent cover for nighttime use. It pulls wetness through the prefold and absorbs up to 30% of the wetness, without leaking onto the pajamas. If your child's pajamas do feel damp, this is a good sign that the cover needs to be re-lanalized.

Nighttime Doublers
Our Nighttime doublers are made of 2 layers of thirsty hemp fleece and 1 layer of flannel. Tri-folded, this doubler will give you 9 layers of super-absorbant material and the fleece pannel feels dry, even when wet. These doublers will last even the heaviest wetter all night long, especially when paired with a wool soaker

Diaper Pail
Each week, we deliver a lidded tote full of clean diapers to BACD customers. Unpack the clean diapers and use the tote as your dry pail. We found this system to be the best for our customers, as well as us. It holds the most amount of dirty, as well as clean diapers, it is easily transportable, and it has an air-tight lid which helps your house smell good. Using a couple of drops of tea tree oil on a dry wipe will give you a natural odor-absorber for your pail.
