How does Diaper Service Work?

Your first home visit includes your first load of clean diapers and the lessons on how to use them properly.  It is best to schedule this first visit for about a week after your baby arrives so I can make sure you are confident in using them effectively.  This is especially important if this is your first time using cloth prefolds.

There is also a start-up fee of $20 due at this initial visit.

Every week, you will receive a giant zipper diaper bag, made of waterproof fabric.  Inside this bag will be a week's worth of clean cloth diapers and cloth wipes.  Unpack all these clean diapers hang this bag on a doorknob.  This bag will act as your dirty diaper pail for the week.

We ask that you do not put anything disposable into this bag, for example, no disposable wipes, and no plastic sacks that you might use to travel with.  We provide cloth wipes and a travel-sized zipper wetbag for these purposes.

We also ask that you shake off any solid stool into the toilet.  If it doesn't come off with a few shakes, you don't need to worry about it :)  One of the beauties of having a service is that we do the dirty work for you!  But shaking off well-formed BM's will greatly reduce the smell in your home.

We provide 5 modern waterproof covers, that YOU will care for through-out the week.  The covers will sometimes get dirty and require laundering.  We ask that you launder the covers because #1, they were not designed for commercial washing, and #2, there is no way we can keep up with your need for fresh diaper covers.  It is common for BM to occasionally leak onto the cover, but if it ever leaks out the cover and onto the clothes, it is a good sign that baby is ready for the next size up.

Our covers come in all different sizes, from NB to XL.

Your delivery day depends on what part of town you live in.  For example,
North of the River and Independence delivers on Monday,
Brookside/Shawnee gets Tuesday and
Lawrence customers get their deliveries on Wednesday.
