Did you know: it takes 500 years for a disposable diaper to decompose!!??

5 Myths about Cloth Diapers

1. You have to toilet-dunk. Not true! Just toss the soiled diaper in the pail we provide, and our high-tech washing machines do the work for you.

2. You have to change your baby more often. Sadly, many babies aren’t getting changed often enough. With the polyacrylate gel, diapers can feel dry when they are not. This makes the diaper a “wearable toilet.”

3. Traveling with cloth diapers is too difficult. Actually, with a waterproof “wet bag” it is just as convenient! Just toss the dirty or wet diaper into this zipper or draw-string bag and put it in the pail when you get home. The bag is excellent at containing smells.

4. Pins are too hard to use. Snappi® clips make fastening a cloth diaper simple. I will teach you how!

5. Cloth Diapers smell. Cloth diapers smell no worse than disposables. In fact, many new-to-cloth moms say that paper diapers often smell far worse than a 100% cotton diaper!

7 Reasons to use Cloth Diapers

1. Cotton diapers are chemical-free and cause less diaper rash. Polyacrylate gel in diapers leaches moisture from your babies skin. This gel is suspected of exacerbating or causing asthma. 100% Cotton diapers don’t have toxic chemicals pressing against baby’s skin.

2. 100% Cotton diapers are breathable. Waterproof paper that covers a disposable does not allow any air-flow to baby’s skin, causing more diaper rash.

3. The Environment. Disposables leave behind 2.7 tons of non-biodegradable waste per child, often loaded with raw sewage that can leach into groundwater.

4. Potty training is easier and happens earlier. And with little effort on the parents‘ part! Baby can better feel the wet sensation when wearing cloth.

5. Cloth diapers are so much better looking! BACD offers a wide variety of fabrics and colors for our covers! This is something many services do not offer.

6. Be a leader, not a follower. As America moves toward a more Earth-friendly lifestyle, be a mom who makes the effort to do something better for her baby and for the future of her baby’s Earth.

7. Cloth diapers are just as convenient and easy to use as disposables. Our diapers use Snappis® which are far more simple than diaper pins. Our covers are also adjustable to fit every baby!
